Threads

New Features for the Threads Web Experience

Takeaways

  • We’re migrating from Threads.net to Threads.com, and adding new features to improve the Threads web experience.
  • Our new updates make it easier to view your custom feeds, access liked and saved posts, share Threads posts on other apps and more.

Today, we’re moving from Threads.net to Threads.com and introducing updates that improve the desktop experience. Whether you’re a creator or a casual Threads user, these improvements make it even easier to share fresh perspectives and be part of the communities you love.

What’s new:

We first launched Threads on web as threads.net in August 2023, starting with a basic experience that allowed you to post, view your feed and interact with other people’s posts. We quickly added more functionalities to bring web to parity with the mobile experience.

Since then, we’ve made significant strides in enhancing the Threads web experience. In May 2024, we introduced a multi-column layout that allows you to customize your display.

Threads web lets you keep things simple with a single column, or you can add multiple feeds, making it easy to stay on top of conversations that matter to you. Additionally, you can turn on auto-update to see new content appear in real-time.

Beyond feeds, you can also add columns for favorite searches, profiles, saved and liked posts, activity, or insights to create a personalized home. And with the ability to drag and drop columns, you can easily reorder and prioritize the content you want to see.

We’re continuing to release updates because we know Threads web is important to our growing creator community and the overall Threads experience. We’ll keep listening and improving the desktop version of Threads – and we already have more web updates coming soon.
