Facebook Marketplace, a place for people to buy and sell within their local communities, is enhancing its home rental experience in Thailand to make it easier for people to find a place to live. Starting today, people can visit the revamped Property for Rent category on Marketplace and browse rental units from partners including Dot Property, Hipflat and Property Flow, in addition to listings from consumers. Thailand is the first country to have dual-language for the rental category.
The home rental experience includes:
- Custom filters delivering useful information on location, price, rental types, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, square metres, and pet friendliness.
- A map view to browse listings by location.
- A broader selection of rental listings from professional agents, landlords, and property managers.
“Facebook is already a popular destination for people in Thailand to list and search for housing. Now, that we are adding listings from leaders in the housing industry to our Property for Rent category on Marketplace, people can search even more options in the Kingdom to find a place to call home. We believe this enhancement can make the experience of finding a rental even more useful for people,” said Mayank Yadav, Product Manager for Marketplace.
“Thailand is one of our most active Marketplace communities.” Yadav added, “more than 51 million people are on Facebook and more than 70 percent of shopping journeys involve mobile. Marketplace is working to serve a relevant experience showcasing products and services from their local community, or from businesses they love.”
The upgraded Property for Rent category on Marketplace will become available more widely across Thailand over the coming weeks.
