Offering Exclusive Drag Race España Content

We have partnered with Drag Race España, the Spanish version of the renowned RuPaul’s Drag Race on ATRESplayer PREMIUM, to offer exclusive content and new ways for the program’s followers to interact on Instagram.

The program, presented by Supremme de Luxe, will show exclusive content of the competition and its weekly challenges on Instagram. Fans will be able to keep up to date with what’s happening on the program through the Drag Race España Instagram account. This will include previews, footage of the challenges, along with information on the 10 participants and their looks and rehearsals through exclusive Stories, videos on IGTV and Reels, so that fans get the complete TV experience.

In addition, we have launched an augmented reality filter that will let the program’s followers feel like real drag queens getting ready in their dressing room. In this game, users must move their head to catch items (wigs, lipstick, etc.) falling from the sky. Some of the objects (boxes, broken glasses, etc.) will lose you points, while the highest scoring object is the crown. You can find this filter on the relevant tab of Drag Race España’s Instagram profile. The filter was developed for the Spark AR platform.

After introducing the 10 queens who will take part in the competition, ATRESplayer PREMIUM will kick off the first of eight Drag Race España galas that will take place during the first season in search of Spain’s superstar drag queen. Fans will be able to view the arrival of the queens on Instagram, and during the rest of the week they will be able to access exclusive content on IGTV. This will feature interviews with the guest jury and time with that week’s eliminated queen, including a self-interview and a make-up tutorial. Additionally, there will be a weekly challenge that is yet to be revealed.

Following its broadcast in other countries, Drag Race has become a symbol for increasing LGTBQ+ visibility throughout the world thanks to its wide-reaching audiences. Instagram supports the LGTBQ+ community and the ability of its members to express themselves and have a voice on the platform. Thanks to this collaboration with Drag Race España, this visibility will be even further amplified, as will the discussions of the LGTBQ+ community in a fun and light-hearted space. Instagram allows you to express yourself creatively and to find a community, no matter what you identify as or where you are.
