Today we launched AMBER Alerts in Korea with the National Policy Agency to help reunite missing children with their families. The service, which is the first in APAC, will deliver AMBER Alerts to people’s News Feeds if they are in the designated search area after a child has been abducted and the National Police Agency has issued an alert. 20,000 children go missing in Korea every year. We hope Facebook’s AMBER Alerts will help spread information on these missing children quickly and effectively to increase the chances of reuniting these children with their families.
