This is what we call prevalence. It\u2019s a measure of how often something is seen, not how long something stays up on Facebook. But we don\u2019t believe time is the best metric for effectively policing our service. It\u2019s also important to remember that we do make mistakes. Sometimes it\u2019s because we removed content that didn\u2019t actually violate our Community Standards (we call these false positives). Other times it\u2019s because we didn\u2019t remove content that we should have. Any mistake can hurt real people, and that motivates us to do better. In fact, artificial intelligence means we can get bad content off Facebook before it\u2019s even reported. It\u2019s why we now measure how often Facebook flags content before it\u2019s reported.
