Hay algunos rumores falsos circulando en relaci\u00f3n con el nuevo l\u00edmite de reenv\u00edos de WhatsApp y, tambi\u00e9n, sobre c\u00f3mo funciona la verificaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n en WhatsApp. Queremos clarificar los hechos.<\/p>\n

WhatsApp ha tomado recientemente una serie de medidas para hacer frente al reto de la desinformaci\u00f3n que se comparte en el servicio. Hemos introducido un nuevo l\u00edmite global<\/a> para reducir el n\u00famero de veces que se pueden compartir los mensajes frecuentemente reenviados, con el fin de mantener el car\u00e1cter personal y privado de WhatsApp, y limitar la propagaci\u00f3n de mensajes que puedan contener informaci\u00f3n err\u00f3nea. Una vez que un mensaje ha sido compartido 5 veces, ahora solo ser\u00e1 posible reenviar ese mensaje a otros chats de uno en uno. Este l\u00edmite se aplica autom\u00e1ticamente y no guarda relaci\u00f3n alguna con el contenido del mensaje -que WhatsApp ni ve, ni modera, ni censura- porque todos los mensajes y llamadas de WhatsApp est\u00e1n protegidos con un cifrado de extremo a extremo<\/a>. El cifrado de extremo a extremo significa que solo t\u00fa y la persona a la que est\u00e1s escribiendo pod\u00e9is ver el contenido de vuestros mensajes, y nadie m\u00e1s \u2013 ni siquiera WhatsApp. El l\u00edmite de reenv\u00edo autom\u00e1tico se aplica sistem\u00e1ticamente en todo el mundo y no tiene relaci\u00f3n alguna con la verificaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n en WhatsApp o en Facebook.<\/p>\n

WhatsApp tambi\u00e9n ha donado recientemente un mill\u00f3n de d\u00f3lares a la Red Internacional de Verificaci\u00f3n de Contenidos (International Fact Checking Network, IFCN) del Poynter Institute para apoyar la lucha contra la desinformaci\u00f3n relacionada con COVID-19. La donaci\u00f3n ir\u00e1 destinada a la formaci\u00f3n para el uso de las funciones avanzadas de WhatsApp Business, incluida la API de WhatsApp Business. La IFCN lanz\u00f3 la CoronaVirusFacts Alliance, una red global que representa a m\u00e1s de 100 verificadores en m\u00e1s de 45 pa\u00edses -incluido Espa\u00f1a- que utilizan WhatsApp para recopilar y aclarar informaci\u00f3n enga\u00f1osa.
